Hello to anyone who wanders in...

I decided that it's about time that I create my own digital journal, to purge my thoughts and embrace my quirky strange ways!

If you're reading this, I'll assume that you care enough about me to follow the link that I sent out, and therefore you won't be (too) shocked at my off-color humor and insane ability to use big words when talking about little topics :)

So here's to my first entry!

Today is one I like to refer to as a recuperation day. I spent the last week in cold, windy San Francisco, surrounded by one of the best groups of people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. We worked hard, we played until ungodly hours of the morning, and somehow still found time to make new friends and spend time with old ones. The Game Developers Conference is a trial of fire...it makes a bunch of (usually) socially awkward gamers and geeks learn interpersonal skills, grow a pair of balls, and have enough backbone to tell some pushy guy in a suit NO. Regardless of whether we retain said skills outside of the GDC, it's amazing how just one week can change a person. To all the new recruits of this year, I am so glad that you joined us, and I made some great new friends. To my fellow veterans, I can say that I felt like I had fallen into a warm cozy ball of love when I saw you all again! I can't wait until next year, and I hope you all feel the same!
