Movie night...

I know that I'm a little behind the curve, but I finally got to see Diary Of A Mad Black Woman tonight. I have to say that I usually believe Tyler Perry has made a boatload of money off of the basically same plot. However, this movie really sent it home for me in a very emotional way. I felt the main character's sorrow, shame and pain right along with her as her own husband brings a low-life woman into her home, then throws her out like the trash. However, as always, I can't help but love Madea. I mean seriously, this woman is awesome. I wish I'd had my own Madea when I was with my ex. Talk about a woman not afraid to met out some serious ghetto justice. She's a true eye-for-an-eye avenger :)

After a long day, with my son being his usually mischievous self, I'm tired but feeling pretty satisfied. I'm behind in my schoolwork, and will probably continue to be until after the first. Oh for the joy of financial woes! However, I'll put my nose to the grindstone and whet my mind, and somehow it'll all fall together. Maybe I just work best under pressure?

PS- Though I don't know if anyone even reads this, if you do, wish me luck on my application to SCAD!
